The group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market automated cellular imaging system. This is a versatile automated digital microscope system with computer-based color imaging technology with the ability to detect, count and classify cells based on color, size and shape to assist pathologists in making critical medical decisions that can affect patient treatment. The group operates as a single segment under the name automated cellular imaging systems (acis). The acis uses specifically developed software to analyze specimens placed on slides and stained with laboratory reagents that impart color to highlight diagnostic features of cells. The customers of the product are classified into two groups: clinical market which includes reference laboratories, pathology practice group and hospitals and research and biotechnology market consisting of pharmaceutical companies, university medical centers and research institutions.
