The group is a holding company for citizens first savings bank and operates as a community-oriented financial institution. The banking services are provided to individuals through 16 full-service branch offices in st. Clair, sanilac, huron and lapeer counties in Michigan. The services include accepting retail deposits from the general public and using those funds, together with funds generated from operations and borrowings, to originate loans. The group originates one-to-four family residential mortgage loans, real estate loans, commercial loans, automobile loans, home equity loans, lines of credit and other consumer loans. The group offers a wide variety of deposit accounts including savings accounts, checking and now accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts and money market accounts. On 09-Jan-2004, it acquired metro bancorp inc and metrobank.
