The group's principal activity is to provide diversified communications services. These services are provided through four segments: local communications, broadband, wireless and other. The local communications segment provides local, long distance, data networking and transport, Internet and pay phone services, as well as sale of communication equipment. The broadband segment utilizes an advanced fiber-optic network to provide private line, switched access, data transport, Internet-based and other services to end user customers. The wireless segment provides advanced digital personal communications and sale of related communication equipment. The other segment resells voice long distance and provided public payphone services.
