The group's principal activities are to provide value-added information services in China which enables wireless receiver users to access financial information and various entertainment-related services. It operates in three segments namely, product sales, mobile phone service and beep pagers service. It has contract with affiliated wireless service providers to transmit the reformatted content to customers of various network operators. Its financial information software, sifang gutong, enables the customers to access stock and currency exchange information and execute stock trades. The entertainment-related services include icons, screen savers, multiplayer games, western horoscopes, jokes, and sports and entertainment news. These services are ancillary to the financial information services. It distributes nine different samsung electronics company ltd mobile phone models, six of which are compatible with the cdma network and three with the gsm network.
