The group's principal activities are to design, develop, manufacture and distribute infection prevention and control products. They include specialized medical devices for diagnostic imaging and therapeutics, consisting of dialysis products, endoscopy and surgical products, endoscope reprocessing products, filtration and separation products and scientific products. The group markets its products through a direct sales force and distributors. Its subsidiary, minntech corporation distributes the products in Europe, Japan, Singapore and Asia/pacific. Olympus America inc is a supplier and also a major distributor of the endoscopy products for the group. On 1-Aug-2003, the group acquired mar cor services inc and biolab equipment ltd and saf-t-pak inc on 02-Jun-2004.
