The group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market lasers used to perform aesthetic and cosmetic procedures. Manufactured at the group's facility at wayland, Massachusetts, the products include the gentlelase(R) family of hair removal lasers, the vbeam(R) pulsed dye laser for treating vascular lesions and alexlazr(tm) for treating pigmented lesions and tattoos. They also include the smoothbeam(tm) diode laser for the remodeling of periorbital wrinkles and the c-beam(tm) pulsed dye laser, for psoriasis and surgical scars. The major customer base for the products consists of dermatologists, plastic and cosmetic surgeons and vascular surgeons. The group sells directly and distributes the products from western Europe, Japan, latin and South America, the Middle East and the Pacific Rim to customers in 78 countries.
