The group's principal activities are in three divisions namely primary materials, value-added building products, and specialist building materials distribution. Materials division involves production of cement, aggregates, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete. Products division involves production of concrete products and a range of construction related products and services. Distribution division is engaged in the marketing and sale of builders' supplies to the construction industry and of materials and products to the diy market. During 2003, the group made 29 acquisitions for the products division and 13 for materials division including cementbouw handel and industrie.
