The products include airbags, seat belts, safety electronics, steering wheels, anti-whiplash seats, seat components and child seats. The group operates through eighty subsidiaries in over thirty countries. Some of its largest customers include audi, bmw, chrysler, citroen, general motors, ford, honda, mercedes-benz, mitsubishi, nissan, rover and peugeot. The group primarily markets the products in North America, Japan and Europe. The group acquired nsk's Asian seat belt operations and the net assets of nippon steering industries in Apr and Jun 2003 respectively. On 1-Jul-2003 the group acquired 100% shares in protektor.
