It provides the services through four Web-sites it owns and operates: autobytel.com, autoweb.com, carsmart.com and autosite.com. The sites help automobile dealers to sell cars using marketing and customer relationship management tools and programs. Dealers subscribe to the new car marketing programs and the used vehicle cyberstore program on the sites on a contractual basis. The group directs consumers visiting the sites to appropriate dealers based on their location and preferences. The sites also help consumers in research, comparison and configuration of vehicles. On 31-Jan-2004, the group had 29,100 dealer relationships covering major manufacturers like bmw, daimlerchrysler, ford, general motors, honda and toyota. On 04-Jun-2003, the group acquired applied virtual vision inc, on 09-Apr-2004, acquired idriveonline, inc and on 15-Apr-2004, acquired stoneage corp.
