The group's principal activities are the exploration of precious metals, base metals and diamonds. The group is involved in studies for the development of nickel/cobalt processing facilities at nakety in new caledonia and musongati in the republic of burundi and gold exploration in the slovak republic. In Jul 2001, the group entered into a joint venture with mmc norilsk nickel to form new caledonian nickel project.
