The group's principal activity is to develop and design digital amplifier technology to be used in audio and entertainment media applications. It has patented a technology, the direct digital amplification or ddx(R) that eliminates the digital-to-analog converter for amplification of signals in audio systems. The technology has applications in home theater systems, powered speakers, car audio, commercial audio, and PC multi-media. The group has signed an agreement with stmicroelectronics, nv to jointly develop new semiconductor products and intellectual properties that use the ddx technology. It also sells circuit boards to support the marketing and sales of ddx semiconductor products. Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific are the major markets for the group. Oki semiconductor supplies the ddx devices and stmicroelectronics, the ddx integrated circuits.
