The group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market noninvasive cardio-respiratory diagnostic systems and related software used for the management and improvement of cardio-respiratory health. The group operates through its subsidiary medical graphics corp and the products of the group are sold under the trade name 'medgraphics'. The principal products of the group include pulmonary function and cardiopulmonary exercise testing systems. Pulmonary function applications include screening asthma patients, pre-operative and post-operative assessment of heart and lung surgery patients, evaluating lung damage from occupational exposures and documenting responses to therapy. Cardiopulmonary exercise (cpx) testing systems measure fitness or conditioning levels as well as help physicians diagnose heart and lung diseases. International sales accounted for 15.9% of total sales in 2003.
