The group's principal activity is to provide reinsurance of professional liability insurance policies. The professional liability insurance policies offer coverage to accounting firms. At 31-Dec-2003, the group had insured approximately 24,000 accounting firms under the plan. The group conducts casualty insurance underwriting and also investment business for their own accounts through investment advisors.
