The group's principal activity is to market and operate alpine ski resorts. The operations are carried out through two business segments: resort and real estate. Resort operations consist of nine ski resorts in Vermont, Maine, Colorado, Utah, California, Nevada and New Hampshire. The ski resorts provide resort facilities, golf courses, ski and golf schools, retail shops and other activities on lands leased out for a long-term period. The real estate segment develops the mountainside of the ski resorts and sells and leases out interests in such developments. The group also develops whole ownership and time-share condominiums, townhouses and retail space.
