The group's principal activities are to provide radioactive, hazardous and industrial waste management services. The group operates through two segments: operating disposal facilities and non-operating disposal facilities. Operating disposal facilities accepts hazardous and radioactive waste and includes the group's hazardous waste treatment and disposal facilities. Non-operating disposal facilities segment includes the closed hazardous waste disposal, processing, and deep-well injection facilities. The services are provided to commercial and government entities, such as nuclear power plants, medical and academic institutions, steel mills and petro-chemical facilities. The customers of the group include the United States army corps of engineers, nucor steel company and shaw environmental & infrastructure, inc.
