The group's principal activities are organized into four segments: flooring products, tape products, jewelry and the Canadian division. The flooring products segment manufactures vinyl and vinyl composition floor coverings. The tape products segment manufactures adhesive-coated, pressure-sensitive papers and films to protect material during handling or storage and for use in the footwear, automotive and electrical and electronic industries. The jewelry segment supplies fashion jewelry and related accessories to merchandisers and department stores. The Canadian division produces flooring, rubber products, including materials used by footwear manufacturers and other industrial products. Some of the trademarks of the group are transferrite(R), amtico(R) and anne klein(r). During the year 2003, the group discontinued janus flooring corporation, its hardwood flooring manufacturing subsidiary in Canada.
