The group's principal activity is to establish chemical business for the manufacture of sodium bicarbonate and related products. The group is in its development stage. The products of the group are used in animal feed, industrial pharmaceutical and food grade markets. The production of sodium bicarbonate also enables the production of soda ash, caustic soda and other sodium chemicals commonly used in the manufacture of glass, detergents and a variety of inorganic and organic chemicals. Sodium bicarbonate is also used as an agent for flue gas desulfurization.
