The group's principal activity is to seek new business alternatives through acquisition, development or investment in new lines of business. Effective 16-Jan-2004, the group entered into the development and licensing agreement. Pursuant to this agreement, lucent has agreed to develop for and license to the group, next-generation management and routing technologies and equipment. These are designed to provide fiber-to-the-premises capabilities for voice, video, data, and voice-over-Internet protocol services. On 28-May-2003, the group sold the existing copy protection business and ceased all its activities.
