The group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and market storage access solutions that move, manage and protect critical data and digital content. The group has three segments: storage solutions group, desktop solutions group and storage networking group. The storage solutions group's interface products enable the movement, storage and protection of data across a range of server platforms, direct attached storage servers, san based servers, nas devices and storage subsystems. The desktop solutions group provides i/o connectivity solutions for personal computing platforms and consumer electronic devices. The storage networking group provides storage connectivity solutions for storage devices, fabric switches and nas devices. The group operates in the United States, Singapore and other countries. In fiscal 2004, the group acquired eurologic systems group limited, icp vortex computersysteme gmbh and elipsan limited.
