The group's principal activities are to design, develop and market field programmable gate arrays (fPGAs) and supporting products and services. FPGAs are used by manufacturers of communications, computer, consumer, industrial, military and aerospace and other electronic systems their products and get them to market faster. In support of FPGAs, the group offers asic conversion products, intellectual property (IP) cores, development systems, programming hardware, debugging tool kits and demonstration boards, a web-based resource center and design and programming services. The customers include Abbott Laboratories, Alcatel, Bae Systems, The Boeing Company, Cisco Systems, Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company, Honeywell International Inc., LG Electronics Inc., Lockheed Martin Corporation, Marconi Corporation PLC, Nokia, Nortel Networks Corporation, Raytheon Company, Siemens AG and Varian Medical Systems, Inc.
