The group's principal activities are divided into four segments: construction of retail and commercial projects, real estate, energy and facilities solutions and energy services . Construction activities consist primarily of new construction, expansion and remodeling of retail store buildings, banks, shopping centers, warehouses and distribution centers and other commercial buildings. The real estate segment activities include investments in shopping centers and office properties in the southeast and midwest. Energy and facilities solutions provides energy services and maintenance and service request solutions. Energy services segment implements energy saving lighting programs and other energy related services that reduce energy consumption. The group acquired wheatstone energy group, inc on 19-Dec-2003, itendant, inc on 16-Apr-2004 & building performance engineers, inc in fiscal 2005.
