The group operates in four business segments: contract generation: supplies wholesale electricity under long-term contracts for more than 75% of the group's output. Competitive supply: supplies electricity, both wholesale and retail, pursuant to short-term contracts or spot electricity markets. Large utilities: utilities of significant size that maintain a monopoly franchise within a defined service area. Growth distribution: offers significant potential for growth and challenges related to operational difficulties with respect to outdated equipment, significant non-technical losses, cultural problems, emerging economies. The group has international operations in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean countries.
