Gerold Ekström began his career more than 30 years ago as a COBOL programmer for Volvo. He spent the next 10 years as an independent IT consultant, before deciding to form his own company. In 1989, he began introducing Acucorp and its products to Scandinavia. Mr. Ekström soon moved into an Acucorp management position, Vice President, European Operations, where he was responsible for overseeing the company's five European offices - located in the U.K., France, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands - as well as launching new operations and professional services. Mr. Ekström recently served as interim CEO at Acucorp's U.S. headquarters in San Diego, California. As the interim CEO, he was in charge of both overseeing the company's day-to-day operations as well as developing new national and international partnerships and alliances. Mr. Ekström has resumed his position as Vice President and actively participates in conferences, trade shows, and seminars as a featured speaker. Mr. Ekström recently presented "The Future of COBOL" at the Software Transformation Seminar in San José, Costa Rica. Mr. Ekström is available to speak at events around the world. |
