Professor Yann Le Petitcorps is a professor at the University of Bordeaux where he holds a chair in material sciences and heads a research group focused on engineering and material science which, among other areas, includes metallic and ceramic structural biomaterials. Prof. Le Petitcorps received his PhD in material science from the University of Bordeaux in 1985 and, in 2003, received the Prize of Metallurgy from the French Academy of Science. Prof. L Petitcorp supervises a laboratory belonging to the French National Center for Scientific Research, and conducts research in the field of materials for structural or biomaterial applications in collaboration with several industrial (dental and orthopaedic) companies. |
