Dr. Chai received her Ph.D. from Rice University in 1992 where she developed metal-doped buckyball materials under Nobel Prize winner Dr. Smalley, and she continued her academic career as a post-doctorate research fellow at Yale University. Dr. Chai next applied her talents at United Technologies in the development of thermal barrier coating materials and in failure analysis engineering. In early 2002, she transitioned to InGaN LED chip marketing and technical support with AXT Optoelectronics (later acquired by Lumei Optoelectronics) where she developed business throughout Asia while holding the positions of Director of Technical Support and VP of Marketing. Dr. Chai joined BridgeLux in August 2005 where she leads the company’s efforts in technical marketing and customer support. |
