Dr. Zhang is responsible for the architecture, design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of IDSC proprietary algorithms and databases. Dr. Zhang’s expertise in optimization and computer science has been an integral part of IDSC since he joined the organization in 2001. Prior to becoming Chief Scientist, Dr. Zhang was Director of development and was responsible for the development and maintenance of client-server products. He also played a key role in the development of web-services and proprietary databases. Prior to joining IDSC, Dr. Zhang held the position of Senior Operations Research Analyst at Federal Express. At Federal Express Dr. Zhang worked on several optimization projects involving crew pairing and bid line generation. Dr. Zhang has the following degrees: Ph.D. in Operations Research, MSc in Computer Science and BSc in Applied Mathematics and has published several articles in leading professional journals.Dr. Zhang was awarded third prize in the China Senior High Mathematics Competition. |
