Woody has been an active and successful venture capitalist and operating executive in Silicon Valley for over 20 years. He has used his entrepreneurial and leadership skills to build companies and his experience to guide the development of new enterprises. He currently serves as managing director of The Entrepeneurs' Funds, a $100 million venture capital firm involved with technology start-up organizations in the Silicon Valley. He has served on at least 25 boards of directors of early-stage companies and gone through every phase of a company's development from start-up to liquidity. He previously served as CEO, president and director of Spectrain Corporation, which he led through a successful IPO in 1994. He was also the founding president of Ultratech Stepper, now a public company. Early in his career he served as corporate counsel for General Signal Corporation. Woody holds a BA degree in Economics from the University of Rochester, a JD from George Washington University and an MBA from New York University. |
