Wolfgang Dondorf (62), CEO, has been with the company since 1994.
Wolfgang Dondorf successfully took Pfeiffer Vacuum public on the New York Stock Exchange in 1996 and on the Neuer Markt Stock Exchange in Frankfurt am Main in 1998 (today TecDAX). He studied at the RWTH Aachen, earning a postgraduate degree (Diplom-Ingenieur) in electrical engineering. From 1971 to 1994, Wolfgang Dondorf served as a senior executive in industry, including the post of general manager of a manufacturer of electronic components, switchgear and sensors. He spent several years in Geneva, Switzerland, where he managed the European production locations of an American-based corporate group. In his leisure time, Wolfgang Dondorf is a creative do-it-yourselfer. He likes to play tennis and is an enthusiastic pilot with an American and German pilot license.
