D. Wilson Ervin is Chief Risk Officer of Credit Suisse, based in New York. He is a member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse. Prior to this, Mr. Ervin was Head of Strategic Risk Management at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was responsible for assessing the overall risk profile of Credit Suisse First Boston on a global basis, and recommending corrective action where appropriate. Mr. Ervin chaired Credit Suisse First Boston’s overall risk committee (CARMC), and was a member of Credit Suisse First Boston’s Management Council. He continues to serve on other oversight bodies. Before taking on the position as Head of Strategic Risk Management, Mr. Ervin worked at Credit Suisse Financial Projects, the former derivatives subsidiary of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was responsible for new product structuring in the Americas, and US corporate marketing. Mr. Ervin joined Credit Suisse Financial Products at its founding in 1990. Before 1990, he held various responsibilities at Credit Suisse First Boston, including positions such as fixed income and equity capital markets, Australian investment banking, and in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. He joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1982. Mr. Ervin received his A.B., summa cum laude, in Economics from Princeton University. |
