Willis Smith has over twenty years experience in the investment banking and financial consulting profession. He brings an extensive background in local community business development. Prior to joining 1st BridgeHouse, he served as Senior Vice President for Trident Securities, a division of KeyBank Capital Markets. Willis' career has been primarily focused on financial institutions specializing in capital offerings. He has worked with community bank boards using the "community offering process" that enables thrift institutions to convert from mutual to stock ownership. He has been involved in or managed over 125 community offerings for financial institutions.
Recently, his practice has focused on capital raising, merger and acquisition and other financial consulting advice for community banks in the Southeast. Willis is a founding shareholder of NTH Holdings, Inc., the holding company for Trident prior to its acquisition by KeyCorp in 1999. He is chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Administrative Board of Edenton Street United Methodist Church, and an age group representative and coach for the Capital Area Soccer League in Raleigh, North Carolina. He also serves as a member of the Bravo Steering Committee for the North Carolina Symphony. |
