Bill Vandervennet is Chief Operating Officer reporting to Don Weber, Chairman and CEO. Mr. Vandervennet is responsible for the operations and administrative support functions at LHI. He brings over 25 years experience in healthcare delivery and management, including over ten years of executive management.
Mr. Vandervennet has worked in various healthcare insurance and managed care organizations serving public and private sector clients. His public sector experience includes managing contracts with DOD, CMS and Health and Human Service departments with several States. Prior to joining LHI, Mr. Vandervennet was with MAXIMUS, Inc. serving as the Division President for the Health Services Central Region. Before that, Mr. Vandervennet spent 9 years with WellPoint (formerly Anthem, Inc.) where he held several executive positions developing and delivering managed care services.
Throughout his career, he has served on several Community Service Organizations as a volunteer member of their Board of Directors.
Mr. Vandervennet has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Wayne State University, a Master of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Michigan, and a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE) designation from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
