Mr. Urschel founded AdECN in October, 2003. Most recently, Mr. Urschel was CEO of publicly-traded ExperTelligence (EXGP.PK) and its subsidiary, 3DStockCharts, from July 2002 until the end of 2003, when he engineered the wind-up and liquidation of that company. Previously, Mr. Urschel started and ran three successful private companies, all located in Santa Barbara: In 2000 he started The Narrative Press, Inc., a digital book publishing company with 106 titles, which he sold in December 2005. In 1994 he started Alliance Manufacturing Software, Inc., which quickly became a leading publisher of MRP/ERP software to small and mid-sized manufacturers, which was sold to Keweil Systems in 1999. In 1986 Mr. Urschel founded Arc Tangent, Inc., which published the first sophisticated direct marketing and list processing software for the IBM PC and compatibles, which was sold to Group 1 Software in 1992. In 1983 Mr. Urschel produced the first low-priced business accounting software for PCs, Ready-to-Run Accounting, marketed by Manusoft, which remained on the market for twelve years. In the early and mid-1980s Mr. Urschel wrote two books on software for Alfred Publishing, produced two stock market software products for Hayden Book Company, and wrote over 40 magazine articles, many for PC World Magazine. Mr. Urschel has served on several corporate and non-profit boards, including Digital Map Products, Laguna Blanca School, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. He graduated from Princeton University in 1978 with a degree in history. |
