William Slattery is executive vice president, country head of Ireland and managing director of State Street in Ireland where he is responsible for coordinating and managing State Street’s corporate, real estate, legal and regulatory affairs.
Before joining State Street in 2003, Mr. Slattery was at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell ( Ireland) (now Deutsche Bank) where he was managing director and global head of Risk Management for the Asset Management Division. While at Deutsche Bank, he also held a number of senior compliance and risk management positions.
Mr. Slattery also worked for the Central Bank of Ireland for more than twenty years. During his tenure at the Central Bank of Ireland, he was responsible for supervising Dublin’s International Financial Services Center from its establishment in 1987 until 1995. He was also deputy head of banking supervision where he was responsible for the supervision of all Irish banks and building societies.
