William Natbony, 56, has been a Director of Leor Exploration & Production LLC since July 2007. Currently, Mr. Natbony is a partner at the law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Mr. Natbony’s practice is concentrated in the investment management, private investment funds, securities, commodities, tax and international law areas. He represents a wide variety of asset managers and their investment vehicles, domestic and foreign, and has extensive experience with respect to the structuring, formation, and ongoing compliance of management companies, hedge funds, commodity pools, and other private investment funds. Mr. Natbony has significant experience in virtually all aspects of securities and commodities registration, regulation, and compliance. Mr. Natbony was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Croesus Capital Management, an emerging markets money management firm with offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Moscow and Budapest, from July 1997 through the end of 1998, when he returned to the practice of law.
Mr. Natbony has written on and lectured extensively in the areas of securities, commodities and tax law. In 2006, Mr. Natbony was named to Lawdragon's 3000 Leading Lawyers in America. Mr. Natbony earned his B.A., cum laude, from Queens College of the City University of New York (1972), his J.D. from New York University School of Law (1975) and his LL.M. Taxation from New York University School of Law (1976). He was a research fellow at Yale Law School (1977) and a Professor at New York Law School (1984-1995).
