William C. Morsell is Senior Vice President of Provider Network Management. Mr. Morsell is responsible for the oversight and support of the physician, hospital and ancillary service provider networks. In addition, he is charged, along with the Chief Medical Officer, with the creation and implementation of the Company’s medical/provider strategy, which includes developing stronger relationships with participating providers.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Morsell was a Vice President and Executive Director at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where he was responsible for hospital, physician and ancillary contracting in Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. He was also the executive leader of several enterprise-wide strategic initiatives in medical cost management. His health care career includes experience as the Vice President of Health Delivery for Aetna US Healthcare, and as General Manager of the Southern New Jersey Market for US Healthcare.
Mr. Morsell currently serves on the board of Father Judge High School. He earned an undergraduate degree in economics from St. Francis College of Pennsylvania, and his MBA in Health Care Management from LaSalle University. He is a faculty member at LaSalle, where he teaches the Essentials of Managed Care to graduate-level students. |
