Bill has been an entrepreneur building technology companies for more than 25 years. Prior to Founding GIV, Bill was a founder, CEO and Chairman of Cybercash, Inc. (Nasdaq: CYCH), a pioneer in e-commerce transaction systems. Bill was a founding investor in Transaction Network Systems (Nasdaq: TNSI), a nationwide network dedicated to efficient transportation of financial transactions. TNSI was sold to PSINet in 1999 for approximately $750 million. Bill was the founder of VeriFone, Inc., the transaction automation company that was sold to Hewitt Packard in 1998. Bill was also an early investor in America Online (AOL) and served on its Board of Directors until 1999. Bill currently serves on the Boards of Directors of several privately held technology companies. Bill holds a Master’s degree in Asian Studies and Chinese philosophy. |
