Bill is the Past President and Chief Executive Officer of Lifespan Health System, Rhode Island’s first health system. Bill founded Lifespan in 1994 by merging Rhode Island Hospital with The Mirriam Hospital and has over thirty years of experience as CEO of hospitals and medical centers in Minnesota, Tennessee, and the Northeastern US.
Bill currently serves on the Board of Directors of Trinity Health, the fourth largest Catholic health system in the US, and is Chair of the board’s Finance and HR/Compensation Committees. Bill also serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Tufts Medical School in Boston, MA.
Bill has chaired various healthcare committees and boards, including the Minnesota Hospital Association Board. He holds Master of Health Services Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of Minnesota. |
