Dr. Hearl is a founding employee of Capital Genomix and is responsible for bringing GS320 to the company and was the inventor of the ImmunoMouse. Both of these technologies were developed during his tenure with KPL joining since 1994, and has the primary responsibility for directing the research and development program as the Chief Scientific Officer, identifying and acquiring new technologies and working with Marketing to set KPL’s strategic direction. Prior to joining KPL, Dr. Hearl was a Section Leader at Life Technologies, where he established the Immunodetection Group as a functional entity within the Research and Development Organization. He also led the development of over ten immunoassay kits used in a variety of applications. From 1986 to 1990, Dr. Hearl was a Senior Scientist at Pharmacia Diagnostics/Electro-Nucleonics, where he developed many immunoassays and led the Rapid Field Diagnostics Program for the U.S. Army. Dr. Hearl has three inventions for which there are patents pending. He has a Bachelors of Science Degree from East Tennessee State University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Tennessee. |
