Prior to joining HemoSense, Mr. Dippel was vice president of operations at Micro Therapeutics Inc., an endovascular medical device company that was recently acquired by ev3, Inc. From 2001 to 2004, he served as vice president of R&D and operations at Conceptus, Inc., a medical device company focused on women's health, where he spearheaded the development of that company's manufacturing and operating systems. Prior to that, he served as vice president of operations at PercuSurge, Inc. (now a division of Medtronic, Inc.) and at Boston Scientific Corporation's Target Therapeutics division. He has also held positions of increasing responsibility in operations and product development at Boehringer Mannheim GmbH (now Roche Diagnostics), Ciba Corning Diagnostics Corporation Spectrum Technology, Inc., and Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Dippel received a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. |
