William Diaz is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Orange County office. He is a member of the Firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice Group, where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, complex litigation, government investigations, and counseling on pricing, distribution, and consumer protection issues.
Will has counseled clients in a variety of industries, including aerospace, ammunition, beverages, biotechnology, cement, chemicals, commodities, consumer products, defense, energy, health care, high technology, industrial products, life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and sporting goods.
Prior to joining the Firm, Will was an attorney for the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Competition, investigating and analyzing mergers and anticompetitive trade practices. At the Commission, he handled matters in the beverage, chemical, glassware, and high technology industries. He received the Commission’s Award for Meritorious Service for his role on the FTC v. Libbey, Inc. trial team, which resulted in an injunction blocking the proposed acquisition.
He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and California.
