Bill Crowe comes to PSE with a long and distinguished career in philatelics, including work with Richard Wolffers Auctions in San Francisco in the late 1970s, then as a dealer with The Empire Group (with Phillip Bansner and Albert Chang) in the early 1980s.
Crowe began his affiliation with The Philatelic Foundation as a professional consultant and continued his involvement with commercial philately including serving as agent for Royhei Ishikawa, who during that time assembled the nation's preeminent collection of classic U.S. stamps. By the mid-1980s, Crowe was spending increasing amounts of time at the Foundation and in 1991 accepted full-time employment. Since then, he has had the opportunity to examine and study nearly all of the rare U.S. stamps that have come on the market, or have been submitted from the nation's leading collections. In addition, Crowe is a member of the AIEP (Association International des Experts Philatéliques). |
