Bill was a founding partner of The Valent Group, a venture fund focused on investing in and building enterprise software companies. The Valent Group is a joint venture between Accel Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners. Prior to Valent, Bill was a manager at Bain & Company, a leading global management-consulting firm where he co-founded Bain Ventures; Bain’s Internet early-stage investment arm. While at Bain Ventures, Bill founded and was President of Servicys, a supply chain software and services company. Bill also worked extensively in Bain’s technology, communications and private equity practices, helping clients develop strategies and make investment decisions. Prior to Bain, he worked as an investment banker at PaineWebber, Inc. Bill graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from The Wharton School with an MBA with Distinction.
