Current responsibility
Bill is a principal and consulting actuary with the Philadelphia office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2002.
Experience
Bill provides clients with a wide variety of services, including product pricing and development, loss reserve analysis and certification, competitive rate analysis, due diligence reviews, business plan development for existing and start-up companies, evaluation of the impact of legislation, reinsurance commutation support, mergers and acquisitions support, and strategic management consulting. His experience also encompasses development of underwriting performance and leakage measures, data warehouse development, and the development and implementation of pricing/underwriting/marketing risk scoring systems.
Prior to joining Milliman, Bill’s experience in the insurance industry included a wide range of executive roles in actuarial, underwriting, marketing, financial, and administrative areas. The positions he has held include the senior underwriting officer for Nationwide Insurance, the senior actuary for direct response insurers Nationwide Direct and Reliance Direct, the CFO and product officer for online insurance broker lowestpremium.com, and the senior direct marketing officer for direct response insurer Nationwide Direct.
Bill has been a speaker at both the CAS Loss Reserving Seminar and the CAS Ratemaking Seminar.
