William Campbell was named Judicial Officer for the Postal Service in May 2006. An independent officer reporting to the Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer, Campbell serves as Chairman of the Board of Contract Appeals, which decides disputes relating to supplier appeals from decisions of postal contracting officers. He also has responsibility for matters that protect the Postal Service and its customers, including issuing decisions on disputes involving postal laws and regulations such as false representation and lottery orders, mailability, debarments and issues related to mail privileges for Periodicals.
Earlier, Campbell served as managing counsel for Purchasing and Commercial Protection law. A 21-year Postal Service veteran, Campbell's other assignments included managing counsel, Field Operations, for the Southeast Area and Chief Field Counsel in San Bruno, CA.
Campbell earned a law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in sociology from Tuskegee Institute. |
