Graham Baughman, President and COO, joined Thorntons Inc. in May of 2000. Graham is responsible for corporate brand strategy, retail operations, sales, marketing and category management. Graham’s responsibilities also include gasoline supply and distribution, retail pricing, and the river bulk terminal and associated risk management programs. Additionally, he is responsible for the construction department, environmental concerns, fleet program management, customer service, and business development/acquisitions.
Graham received his Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Marketing, from the University of Kentucky in 1988. He then earned his M.B.A. in Finance, in 1989, from UK. Graham spent eight years with Ashland Inc and then spent two and a half years with a major brand distributor in Northeast Ohio, serving in the capacity of Vice President.
Graham sits on the advisory board of the BDS Group. He currently serves as vice-chair of Elders for Middletown Christian Church, and he teaches the young adult Sunday school class. Graham also serves on the boards of the Christian Church Homes of Kentucky and the Metro United Way. He serves on Louisville Mayor's Air Quality Task Force, and on the Legislative Committee for the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA). Additionally, he is a member of the National Association of Convenience Store (NACS). Graham is also a member of the Bluegrass Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. |
