Mr. Schmitt has been with QMed since 2002. His current responsibilities include growth and strategic direction of the Company, corporate compliance, and regulations. These responsibilities involve overseeing finance, tax, mergers and acquisitions, as well as banking and human resources.
Prior to his current position, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a large privately held security firm, where his responsibilities included the growth and strategic direction of the firm, mergers and acquisitions, and overseeing finance, tax, banking, human resource, and IT departments. He was also a senior member of a large regional accounting, auditing and consulting firm where he gained vast experience in auditing and consulting and became co-head of the firm’s turnaround department.
Mr. Schmitt graduated from Rider College with his Bachelor of Science degree in commerce. He is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Financial Executive International.
