Daughtrey began his tenure with our business in 1974 as a financial assistant. In 1976, he moved to the Merchandising Department where he served for the next ten years as a merchandising assistant, assistant buyer, buyer for case goods and vice president of merchandising. In 1990, Daughtrey was named to head the newly established Corporate Retail division of our business as vice president, where he remained until 1997. Previously, in 1987, he was a dealer of two of our retail stores in Gainesville, GA., and Toccoa, GA. After two years of field experience in retail, Daughtrey returned to the Corporate Headquarters as assistant to the president. William T. Daughtrey has now served as executive vice president of marketing since 1997. In this role, Daughtrey oversees the merchandise buyers, the advertising and visual display areas of all of our stores.
