Evan Fultz's practice focuses in the area of intellectual property law. He represents a wide range of clients, both domestic and international, particularly in connection with trademark rights, including representing clients in federal and state court litigation and adversarial proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also represents clients in the areas of Internet and domain name law, including proceedings before the National Arbitration Forum and Nominet UK. He is experienced in the trademark filing process as well, particularly in connection with the search and clearance, application and prosecution, and defense and enforcement processes before the USPTO.
Mr. Fultz represents clients in commercial litigation, including litigation involving issues of unfair competition, trade secrets, insurance liability, breach of contract and securities fraud.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Mr. Fultz practiced in the Washington, DC office of a large multi-national law firm, where he gained experience litigating a wide range of cases, many of which arose in an international context and implicated such issues as sovereign immunity, diplomatic immunity, international service of process and evidence collection, enforcement of United States judgments abroad and bribery of foreign officials.
Mr. Fultz is admitted to practice in the US District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is proficient in French.While at the University of Virginia, Mr. Fultz was a member of the Virginia Law Review. |
