William R. Hinchman concentrates his practice in the representation of regional and national businesses in a full range of complex commercial, government contracts and bankruptcy litigation matters. He has served as lead trial counsel in numerous jury trials in state and federal courts and various administrative boards. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Hinchman served as a trial attorney for the United States of America, Department of the Army, Judge Advocate General's Corps.
Mr. Hinchman has:
successfully tried a multi-million dollar severance claim by a former officer of a start-up pharmaceutical company;
successfully tried a broker commission dispute involving the sale of a multi-million dollar commercial office building;
achieved a defense verdict in a civil rights action claimed against a party seeking possession of real property;
settled favorably a $6 million claim by a franchisee that involved claims of lender liability, fraud and civil conspiracy;
successfully tried a construction dispute that resulted in a favorable settlement during jury deliberations;
defended the award of a $72 million government contract to a supplier of missiles to the U.S. government;
defended the award of a $500 million government contract to a supplier of computer systems to the U.S. government;
negotiated and resolved several suspension and debarment notices to suppliers of services and products to the U.S. government;
negotiated and resolved numerous claims totaling nearly $12 million by the reorganized debtor in a large telecommunications bankruptcy case;
represented debtors, creditors, equity security holders and committees in various bankruptcy litigation matters. |
