William R. Cruz co-founded the company with his brother, Ralph Cruz, in 1982, has been a director since that time, and served as the company’s chief executive officer or co-chief executive officer from 1982 through February 15, 2007. Mr. Cruz was appointed Co-Chairman of the Board in 1996. Effective February 15, 2007, Mr. Cruz retired as Co-Chief Executive Officer, but continues to serve as non-executive Co-Chairman of the Board, as well as, when requested, in an advisory capacity on key projects and initiatives. Mr. Cruz studied classical violin at the University of Miami, which he attended on a full scholarship, and the Juilliard School of Music, during which time he won numerous classical violin competitions. |
